Foyer
Our magnificent two story entrance foyer reflects the architectural genius of W.T. Downing, the original architect and designer. The nine foot tall mantle with hand made mosaic tile in the greek key pattern compliments the ornately carved staircase with choral bench and music box. Italian artisans further embellished the foyer with hand carved shells, flowers, ribbons and mythical figures. The two story, five panel set of original Tiffany stained glass provides a kaleidoscope of colors for those early rising guests.
Dining Room
The dining room is graced with a floor to ceiling hand carved mantle and triple leaded glass windows. An original pewter and brass light fixture provides the ambiance for the your breakfast experience.
Living Room
William Morris wallpaper frames a corner alcove with a statuary niche, a perfect setting for an intimate breakfast. The living room is a favorite gathering spot for our guests.
Parlor-Music Room
The parlor, originally the Music Room, has hand carved musical instruments on the fireplace mantle. To further compliment the architectural richness, there is a coved ceiling, corinthian columns, greek key and egg and dart moldings and beveled plate glass windows flanked by curved windows. It is the perfect spot to read the newspaper and have a cup of tea by the fire.
The “Turkish Corner” Library
Beautiful inverted dome ceiling, replicated wall and ceiling stenciling, triple leaded glass windows and Moorish inspired hardware provide the perfect backdrop for a game of chess, reading your favorite book, or perusing the DVD library.
Porches
Unwind on the sun filtered verandas furnished with a collection of wicker and oak rockers. Relax and indulge in reading your favorite book, surf the internet or simply people watch. Enjoy your favorite beverage as you watch twilight fall as Atlanta’s skyscrapers sparkle against the evening horizon.
