A Blooming Surprise!

You know Summer has arrived, other than the temperature guage indicating 95 degrees, when the Mandeville grows about four inches per day and produces stunning blooming flowers as in the photo above. This perky little vine wraps around the Inns’ rear staircase and provides a burst of color and conversation piece for our guests enjoyment. [...]

Late Bloomer

This particular species of Azelia blooms almost a month after the others. It compliments the Dogwood tree which is also a late bloomer. Always nice to have some color in the front gardens!

A Colorful Addition

The rhododendrons are in bloom and are truly beautiful. Our geographical location is their extreme southern boundary, so we are happy when they show their colors. The concern, this year, is our non-stop thunderstorms which hasten the demise of the blooms. Oh well, admire them while they are here!

Camelias in Bloom

The Camellias at the Inn are in full bloom. Check out the photo above of the twenty foot plus tall specimen in our rear gardens. This variety is grafted with three colors… pink, red and white. What a kaleidoscope of color. Hopefully, the current cold snap won’t do too much damage!

Flowers Galore
