As a neighbor of Piedmont Park, I was excited to learn that Piedmont Park is listed as one of the Top Five Things To Do In Atlanta on TripAdvisor. This green oasis in the middle of Midtown is the backyard and playground for many people from residents to tourists alike. The 211 acre park is located about one mile from the center of downtown and only blocks from our Bed and Breakfast in Atlanta.
In 1989 the Piedmont Park Conservancy was founded to revitalize Piedmont Park. They have raised and invested over 23 million dollars in private funds. They do a wonderful job of managing the day to day operation of the park. It is now the most used park in Atlanta.

AJC Peachtree Road Race on July 4th, it is the perfect place for the finish line of the Peachtree Road Race. After a long run kick back and enjoy the park.
Atlanta Street Festival on July 13th, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. with 25 of Atlanta’s best food trucks to tempt you. There will be local bands to entertain you and SweetWater brews to quench your thirst. All proceeds will benefit the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
Atlanta Ice Cream Festival on July 27th, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is the 3rd annual Ice Cream Festival. Indulge in your favorite flavor of ice cream or try one of the mouth-watering new creations. There will also be health and wellness experts on hand to answer all your questions.
Piedmont Park’s Green Market is each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. providing farmers and residents as a way to connect. There are also Cooking Demonstrations from some of our local chefs at the Green Market. Each Saturday at 1 p.m. join the Conservancy for a walking tour of Piedmont Park highlighting the parks colorful history and wildlife.
