Tired of the same old Labor Day picnics and pool parties, spice up your Labor Day Weekend by attending one of Atlanta’s most unusual conventions, Dragon Con 2011. Each Labor Day Weekend for the past twenty-four years, fans come from across the world to immerse themselves in a world focusing on science fiction, fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art and music. Atlanta Dragon Con 2011 has something for everyone and every age, from the person who loves television and movie characters to the little girl and her dad who build robots on the weekends.
Atlanta Dragon Con’s first annual Comic Book Babes Costume Contest is Saturday evening. This juried Atlanta event has a $1,000 first place price. If you are a little shy, strut down Peachtree Street on Saturday morning in the Annual Atlanta Dragon Con Parade 2011 with thousands of your friends. Be sure and register early to participate.
Saturday evening dress in your finest Dragon Con costume for a Night at the Georgia Aquarium. The Aquarium’s main exhibits will be open for viewing, along with entertainment and food.
After a long day at the Dragon Con 2011 parade, autographs, workshops and just having fun head back to our Atlanta Bed and Breakfast for a little me time.
