One of our palate pleasing Atlanta Festivals is the 9th Annual Taste of Atlanta Festival on October 23rd and 24th at Tech Square in Midtown, just blocks from our Atlanta Bed and Breakfast. This must eat Atlanta event will host over 70 restaurants for you to select from. Each restaurant will temp your taste-buds with their savory and sweet specialities. You will also have the opportunity to sip robust wine and hearty beers.
As you stroll thru the Go Green Village and the Farm to Festival Village you will learn about the sustainable movement and how our local restaurants are incorporating locally grown products daily in their restaurants. Learn how easy it is to go green at home. You will also have the opportunity to take home local produce, Speciality products and Eco-Friendly Products. Top Chefs from 5 Seasons Westside, JCT Kitchen, Swift & 4th and Empire State South will take the stage and create some of their favorite signature dishes.
The Main Cooking Stage will feature two well known Chefs that call Atlanta home. Chef Kevin Gilliespie from Woodfire Grill, a Top Chef finalist. He uses the freshest, organic and sustainable ingredients available in all of his dishes. Executive Chef William “Ford” Frye from JCT Kitchen and Bar specializes in finely crafted creative regional food. Also, Chef Louis Olson awarded Best Chef Southeast by James Beard and Chef Daryl Shularwho has over 12 gold medals and 8 Best in Show will wow you with their expertise.
New to the Taste of Atlanta Festival is Inside the Food Studio hosted by Tom Sullivan. Enter the world of a professional chef and learn the trade secrets of his craft. The Big Green Egg will have ten cooking stations for you to try and master the art of grilling. The Family Friendly Zone will host fun filled food activities and cooking demonstrations by family friendly restaurants.
The last stage will host a cooking competition by Cooking Light Magazine for the Healthiest Chef of the Year. The final four contestants will compete live on stage.
For all you wine and beer connoisseurs VIP tickets are available. The VIP tickets include a variety of educational seminars and tasting tents. Taste of Atlanta tickets are available at Whole Foods.
